Teaching Chinese Language

Thomas Goff, a private tutoring student, and Doris Du perform “How Rare the Moon” during the Chinese New Year Showcase.

The Confucius Institute is pleased to partner with Columbia Public Schools to provide Chinese language instruction for grades 6 to 12. Our Chinese volunteer teachers partner with a CPS co-teacher in each class. We also provide training classes to CPS teachers who want to learn how to teach Chinese and present special programs at elementary schools by request.

Additionally, we lead a program called Mizzou Mandarin for campus and community learners to develop their Mandarin and learn more about Chinese culture. We also offer classes in business Chinese language and private tutoring.
